Detailed Itinerary:
DAY 01: ALAPUZHA
Washed by the silvery waves of the Arabian Sea, the Venice of the East welcomes you to the backwaters of kerala. The Palm fringed canals and shores, the mirror still lagoons, picture book lakesides and its long sandy beach has blessed, the water locked district to become one of the best Backwater tourism destinations in God’s Own Country.
On arrival at Kochi International Airport meet our representative and transfer to Alapuzha (80Kms/2.5hrs). Check-in to the traditional Houseboat in the Vembanad Lake by noon. Enjoy the cruisethrough Vembanad Lake, four river estuaries and the labyrinthine canals, amidst the emerald green tropical vegetation and exotic fauna. Birds, fishes, animals, butterflies, flowers, paddy fields, waterlilies, and a lot more add to the charm and magic of the backwaters. Enjoy kerala specialities on board. Overnight in the Houseboat.
Day 02 ALAPUZHA | VARKALA (110 Kms / 3Hrs)
In the morning havebreakfast in the houseboat enjoying the natural beauty around the Lake. Later checkout fromthe house boat and transfer to Varkala, check into the hotel. Afternoon local sightseeing tour in and around Varkala and evening move further to varkala beach. Overnight in Varkala.
Day 03 VARKALA
Varkala a calm and quiet hamlet, lies on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram district. It has a beautiful beach, a 2000-year-old Vishnu Temple and the Ashramam – Sivagiri Mutt a little distance from the beach.The Papanasam Beach (also called as Varkala Beach), which is ten kilometers away is renowned for a natural spring which is considered to have medicinal and curative properties. A dip in the holy waters at this beach is believed to purge the body of impurities and the soul of all sins; hence the name ‘Papanasam Beach’. After breakfast enjoy the beach, visit Kappil Lake, VarkalaThunnel and Sarkara Devi Temple.
Day 04 VARKALA DEPARTURE.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Trivandrum Airport for your onward journey. (45Kms / 1.20Hrs)
